Dark colours, a new background texture, a better music player on top of the website, a nice image slideshow on the homepage,… A little bit of enhancements. A couple of weeks ago I watched a movie. The movie was The Brothers Bloom. It’s a con movie from 2009. The Brothers Bloom are the best con men in the world, swindling millionaires with complex scenarios of lust and intrigue. In the movie they’ve decided to take on one last job - showing a beautiful and eccentric heiress the time of her life with a romantic adventure that takes them around the world. But I’m not going to talk about the movie, you should see it, but about the music in the movie.

All the music is composed by Nathan Johnson, with the Cinematic Underground. The soundtracks are really amazing! I so enjoyed it while watching the movie that I decided to buy me a copy of the soundtracks. I still listen to the cd frequently. My favourite soundtrack is called “The Perfect Con”. I included this soundtrack at the end of the post, so give it a try and enjoy it! Oh and don’t forget to watch the movie, I recommend it…

Lately I discovered a really cool website. Codeorgan analyses the body content of any web page and translates that content into music. The codeorgan uses a complex algorythm to define the key, synth style and drum pattern most appropriate to the page content. Really cool sounds, I already experimented it on diturirecords.com. First I want to say that the Gentle didn’t win the finals of Limbomania 09. I really hoped they would manage to finish first, second or third. Okay secretly I hoped that they would finish first! Who doesn’t. You can watch their full perfomance right here.

There is no doubt that music effects our mood and concentration. There is a theory, since the 90s, that links music with intelligence. “The Mozart Effect” has the most attention of all. I don’t know if it’s true or if it works. You can always give it a try, maybe with some Black Sabbath tunes… Anyways you can read the whole article here.

Together with a couple of friends we arrived in Köln not knowing if there would still be some tickets available. It was all exciting, so when we arrived at the venue we went straight to the tickets sale. We were lucky there were still some tickets available and yeah!! we made it. The show was amazing. The best show I have seen this year.

But not to forget! Creature with the atom brain played befor them and they were rockin too! I’ve seen this guys a couple of times and never get bored listening to them.

Oh yes this is it! Last saturday they announced the 10 finalists for Limbomania. A great relief for Alessio, Kevin, Jonathan and Marco because The Gentle was selected for the finals.
